Description
The model of the MAN KAT1 7t 6x6 bridge transporter with M3 boat in 1:160 scale for N gauge. Since the 1980s this Bundeswehr vehicle carried the sections of the FSB folding float bridge and the motor boats that hold the bridge in position in the water. Great while reversing down to a slipway at the river or in a staging area on a meadow behind the dike on the N gauge layout.
The system includes the bridge transporter, ramp sections, center sections and M3 boats, so the bridge can be shown in both transport and deployed form. The 6x6 transporter takes either folded ramp or bridge sections or an M3 boat. Separate bridge and ramp sections can be plugged together and laid in the water on the layout; the empty trucks park alongside and the M3 boats sit in the water.
