Description
The MAN KAT1 7t 6x6 bridge transporter with folded center section of the folding float bridge as a model set in 1:160 scale for N gauge. Since the 1980s this Bundeswehr vehicle brought the bridge sections to the bank and set them into the water there. Fits well in an engineer convoy on a dirt track to the river or while setting down the center section at a shallow spot on the bank on the N gauge layout.
The system includes the bridge transporter, ramp sections, center sections and M3 boats, so the bridge can be shown in both transport and deployed form. The 6x6 transporter takes either folded ramp or bridge sections or an M3 boat. Separate bridge and ramp sections can be plugged together and laid in the water on the layout; the empty trucks park alongside and the M3 boats sit in the water.
