The BTR-50 as a model in 1:160 scale for N gauge, designated SPW-50 in the NVA. This amphibious tracked armored vehicle served from 1957 and could carry soldiers across rivers as well. Great leaving the water at a shallow spot on the bank or on flat wagons at a loading ramp on the N gauge layout.
