(TT) SA-9 Gaskin (Active)

With its containers for the four Strela-1 missiles raised, this model shows the SA-9 Gaskin of the NVA in 1:120 scale for TT gauge in active position. From the 1970s the vehicle accompanied motorised units and protected them at short range against attacks from the air. It was based on the amphibious BRDM-2 scout car, whose turret was replaced by the launcher. Gaskin was the NATO code name, while in the Warsaw Pact the system was called 9K31 Strela-1. Fits well in a column on a country road or in the vehicle park of a barracks on the TT gauge layout.
