(TT) 9K33 Osa (Active)

With its radar raised, this model shows the 9K33 Osa of the NVA in 1:120 scale for TT gauge in active position. The surface to air missile system combined search and fire control radar and the launcher on a single three axle wheeled vehicle, which could also swim. Osa means wasp, while NATO called the system SA-8 Gecko. From the 1970s it served with the NVA and protected units against attacks from the air. Fits well during an exercise in a patch of forest or in the technical area of a barracks on the TT gauge layout.
