Description
With its radar raised and the barrels elevated, this model shows the ZSU-23-4 Shilka of the NVA in 1:160 scale for N gauge in active position. It is named after the Shilka river, and with its four 23 mm autocannons and its own fire control radar it was a standard air defence vehicle of the Warsaw Pact for decades. It accompanied the tank and motorised rifle units to protect them from attacks from the air. An eye-catcher in an air defence position at the edge of a field or in a convoy on a country road on the N gauge layout.
