The Volkswagen Type 181 as a model in 1:160 scale for N gauge. The open off road car with Beetle mechanics joined the Bundeswehr from 1969 as a light liaison vehicle and, with its folding top and fold down windscreen, stayed in service until the Iltis replaced it from 1979. Looks good in front of the guardhouse of a 1970s barracks or with the top down at a swimming lake on the N gauge layout.
