Description

This model in 1:160 scale for N gauge shows the SA-9 Gaskin (9K31 Strela-1) of the NVA in active position, with its missile containers raised. Strela means arrow, while Gaskin was its NATO code name. The system was built on the amphibious BRDM-2 scout car and served in the Warsaw Pact as short range air defence for motorised units, which it could easily keep up with on the road. Great in a position at the edge of a field or in a convoy on a country road on the N gauge layout.
