(N) M270 MLRS (Active)

With its launcher raised, this model shows the M270 MARS in 1:160 scale for N gauge in active position, just as the system moves into position. In the Bundeswehr, MARS stands for Mittleres Artillerieraketensystem, and the chassis is derived from the American Bradley infantry fighting vehicle. Besides the Bundeswehr, the USA, Great Britain, France, Italy and the Netherlands among others used the system, making it one of the best known rocket launchers of NATO. Impressive in a firing position on a military training area or next to an ammunition truck on the N gauge layout.
