The M109 A3G(A1) self propelled howitzer in 1:160 scale for N gauge stands in active position on this model, with the barrel raised as in a firing position. The G in the designation stands for the German modifications with which the Bundeswehr developed its American M109 further over the years. For a long time the M109 formed the backbone of the tube artillery in the armoured artillery battalions, until the Panzerhaubitze 2000 took its place.
