(N) 9K33 Osa (Active)

With its radar raised, this model shows the 9K33 Osa (SA-8 Gecko) air defence system of the NVA in 1:160 scale for N gauge in active position. Osa means wasp, while Gecko was its NATO code name. What made the system special was that search radar, fire control radar and missiles were combined on a single three axle amphibious vehicle. Besides the NVA, other Warsaw Pact armies also used the system, including Poland. Great in a position at the edge of the woods or in a convoy on a country road on the N gauge layout.
