Description
This 1:160 N Scale model represents the IFA W50 TLF‑16 water tender fire engine, a rugged, all-wheel-drive firefighting vehicle built on the East German W50 LA chassis. Produced from 1969 to 1984 by VEB Feuerlöschgerätewerk Luckenwalde, it featured a crew cabin for six, steel GMK superstructure, a water tank of around 2,000 L, a foam tank of 500 L, and a side-mounted pump delivering up to 1,600 Liter/min. Equipped with balloon tires and a tire pressure regulation system, it excelled in sandy terrain operations at NVA training grounds and industrial sites across the GDR.
